🌚Do you find mobile app and website responses like this Friendly or Rude?

English apps use casual terms like 'Oops…🙊' 'Sorry!' and '🫠Uh-oh' when it fails to do something the user requests. The practice is advised in the West because it sounds conversational, non-robotic, and gets straight to the point with short text. However, this does not translate well at all in some Asian languages. Thai, Korean, and Japanese all have distinct levels of speech you need to follow with customers. The consideration is much more needed when high stakes and sensitive emotions are involved. For example, students logging in to see their university application results and diehard fans rushing to reserve their concert tickets. By working with UX writers and localization specialists, developers can easily avoid hurting these poor souls.

It's just automatic system responses📟, but it can hit disappointed people hard! 🫥
