Levitating high schooler, electricity-wielding bus driver, and super-sense mom. Without even one cape, the ordinary lives of Bongseok, Hee-soo, Mihyun, Dooshik, and Juwon are fleshed out by describing their little day-to-day likes and dislikes, relatable hopes and dreams.
While Marvel and DC heroes are linked to in-universe mega villains and fictional metropolises, Moving’s dark background is cultivated by real-world political agencies and friction. North-South Korean relationships and NIS agents are tried-and-true sources of conflict in K-content. We get to see the two generations of characters play out over three decades, covering the tumultuous situation between the two countries, giving the viewers an inkling which real historical events could have affected our heroes. The action scenes and CGI are top-notch, but in the end, what makes MOVING so alive is the emotions that ring true to everyone watching. A genuinely moving story.
